rl 4U <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Tax Assessor of Indian River <br />County, Florida, be and he hereby is directed to assess and levy all of <br />the foregoing taxes upon the taxable property in Indian River County, <br />Florida, just and due taxation within the respective boundaries upon which <br />such taxes are levied and the Tax Collector of Indian River County, <br />Florida, be and he is hereby directed to collect said taxes and pay over <br />the same and that a certified copy of this Resolution be furnished to the <br />County Assessor of Taxes and the County Collector of taxes. <br />Mrs. Gladys Vigliano, County Welfare Worker, appeared before the <br />Board and gave a report of her activities for the month of July and filed <br />a written report with the Board. She stated that Mr. Steinbach of the <br />Indian River Rest and Convalescent Home had informed her that he was <br />going to have to raise the price of each of the County Patients in the <br />Nursing home from $185.00 to $225.00 a month. The Board requested her <br />to place patients in a boarding home whenever possible. <br />Mr. Robert Spillman and Mr. Fred Tuerk appeared before the <br />Board and informed them of Mr. Tuerk's offer to give 868 acres in North <br />Indian River Shores to the State Board of Control as a site *for the <br />proposed East Central Florida University. He was also offering, as an <br />alternate site, 1000 acres on Road 60, Indian River County,, west of <br />Vero Beach. At the request of Mr. Tuerk and upon Motion made by <br />Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner Waddell and unanimously <br />carried, the. following Resolution was adopted: <br />
