8 <br />Thad Carlton, Attorney, Mr. B. L. Holman and Mr. Maclntyre <br />appeared before the Board and requested the Board's cooperation in <br />getting electric service to the Blue Cypress Lake area. After some <br />discussion, Motion was made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by <br />Commissioner Haffield and unanimously carried, that the following <br />Resolution be adopted: <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County owns a tract of land on the <br />West Shore of Blue Cypress Lake, described as, <br />The North 800 feet of Lot "L" of FELLSMERE FARMS <br />COMPANY SUBDIVISION of Township 32 South, Range 36 <br />East, according to Plat thereof, recorded in Plat <br />Book 2, at pages 18 and 21, of the Public Records <br />of St. Lucie County, Florida, <br />said property being commonly known as Indian River County Park, and <br />being used for public park and recreational purposes, and <br />WHEREAS, there is great need for electric light and power <br />service being made available to said Park for the health, safety, <br />welfare aniconvenience of the people of Indian River County, and <br />others using, and enjoying the facilities of said Park, and <br />WHEREAS, Peace River Valley Electric Membership Cooperative, <br />Inc. has an electric transmission line now extending along the public <br />county road, commonly known as Blue Cypress Road, to the Surrency <br />residence, which electric transmission line is located upon the right-- <br />of-way of said Blue Cypress Road, which right-of-way is owned by Indian <br />River County, Florida, and <br />WHEREAS, said public road extends to the above described <br />Park property, and <br />WHEREAS, owners of other properties lying immediately South <br />of said Park property have made application to Peace River Valley <br />Blettric Membership Cooperative, Inc., for said electric transmission <br />line to be extended along said public road known as Blue Cypress Road <br />tosaia properties lying along the Westerly side of said Blue Cypress <br />Lake and near and in the vicinity of said Park property/ and, <br />
