F <br /> a <br /> Our File #0627LA <br /> August 26 , 2008 <br /> NON -EXCLUSIVE PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING AGREEMENT <br /> CONTINUING CONSULTING SERVICES <br /> AMENDMENT #2 TO <br /> " EXHIBIT 1 " <br /> Work Authorization #4 , which was approved by the Board of County Commissioners on July 11 , <br /> 2006 , included Engineering Services in connection with conversion of an existing 8" force main <br /> to an 8" reuse pipeline. Addendum #1 was approved to authorize Engineering Services for the <br /> removal of the existing 8" force main and its replacement with a 16" reuse main in accordance <br /> with the Reuse Master Plan . <br /> Since the route of the proposed 16" reuse main was to follow the route of the existing 8" force <br /> main , logic would dictate that the route would be acceptable to the Indian River Farms Water <br /> Control District (IRFWCD) . Surveying and construction plans were prepared and completed on <br /> that basis . A permit application was prepared and submitted to IRFWCD which resulted in a <br /> meeting on August 7 , 2008 . During that meeting , the IRFWCD indicated that in some areas <br /> following the route of the existing 8" force main with the proposed 16" reuse main would not be <br /> acceptable and required an altemate route involving 6200 LF of pipeline . <br /> This Amendment #2 is presented to revise the plans and satisfy this requirement of IRFWCD in <br /> order to secure their permit . <br /> Since Amendment #1 Engineering Services including surveying and design have been <br /> completed , additional services will be necessary to re-route portions of the proposed 16" reuse <br /> main as required by the IRFWCD . Amendment #2 will therefore provide additional Engineering <br /> and Surveying Services to design the reuse main route as required by IRFWCD . <br /> The additional services covered by this Amendment #2 to the project will generally consist of the <br /> following : <br /> • Survey and Engineering services to design the abandonment in place of approximately <br /> 61200 LF of existing 8" force main and the construction of approximately 6 , 200 LF of 16" <br /> reuse main along the route as required by IRFWCD . <br /> There is no increase in the estimated construction cost of the project as described previously in <br /> Addendum #1 which is $2 , 000 , 000. 00 . <br /> Y:4nmlProjectsV006\0627\ADMimcontractsWMENDMENT #210627_Exhibit 2 Amend#2-082608.doc <br />
