Pippin Tractor and Equipment $3,890.00 <br />There being no other bids, Motion was made by Commissioner <br />Macdodald, seconded by Commissioner Haffield and unanimously carried, <br />that the bid of Pippin Tractor and Equipment in the amount of $3,890.00 <br />be accepted. <br />Ralph Lundy of Gifford appeared before the Board to inquire <br />about the traffic light for New U. S. 1 at Gifford. He was advised <br />that the State Road Department had been or would be requested to make <br />a traffic survey to determine just what is necessary. <br />Lisbon Futch and Kenneth Damerow appeared before the Board <br />and presented an aerial photo of the Sebastian Inlet. After consider- <br />able discussion, Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded <br />by Commissioner Waddell and unanimously carried, that the County <br />Engineer be authorized to define, legally describe and advertise the <br />bulkhead line for the area on the south side of the Sebastian Inlet <br />and following the shore line south to the present beginning point of <br />the existing bulkhead line lying just south of the Sebastian Inlet. <br />This description to be made by Beindorf and Damerow who have prepared <br />the land corners -in association with the aerial photographs presented. <br />There shall also be described a traverse of the spoil area which is <br />approximately 500 feet wide and lying between 1400 feet and 5000 feet <br />Southwesterly of the intersection of ALA and the Sebastian Inlet.. And <br />to further authorize the basic application to be made with) the Trustees <br />of the Internal Improvement Fund.for the.above described spoil area <br />and to immediately send to them a marked aerial photograph showing the <br />proposed area to be used for the park and fill area to be used by the <br />Sebastian Inlet Commission. This aerial should also indicate a 150 <br />foot 'easement .parallel to the south shore of the Sebastian .Inlet, and <br />Connecting AIA and the proposed spoil park area. This. 150 foot ease- <br />ment is to.be used by Indian River County and the.Sebastian Inlet Com- <br />7aissiom pp, an access and maintenance easement. Also to maintain a mini- <br />-ling100 foot wide canal leading from a .bay ' area into the Indian River.- <br />Mot1..n was made by' Commissioner Macdonald, seconded byCommis- <br />stoner F'Waddell and unanimously carried, to instruct the County <br />
