Board does request a copy of the.t <br />f way maps, tshe necessary <br />request the State Road <br />right of way deeds for the bridge and does <br />Department to prepare and. secure aerial photographs <br />or the purpose <br />of alignment for design of the approach and they further request, <br />that as soon.as possible, that the State Road Department furnish to <br />this Board an approach road design for its approval <br />• <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a certified copy of this,Re- <br />solution shall be forwarded to John Monahan, the Honorable Merrill P. <br />Barber and Clarence Davidson. <br />.Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by <br />Commissioner.Haffield and unanimously carried, that the following <br />Resolution be adopted: <br />RESOLUTI 0 N <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County, Florida, has placed among its primary road construction the <br />building of a bridge across the Indian River which is presently known <br />as the Wabasso Briadge, and that said Board is doing everything within <br />its power to have the bridge built as soon as possible; and, <br />WHEREAS, Mr. A. B. Michael came to Wabasso in the year 1887 <br />and carved the Deerfield Grove .Industry out of the wilderness; and, <br />WHEREAS, Mr. A. B. Michael has been a prime moving force in <br />the citrus industry of the State of Florida over the years; and, <br />WHEREAS, Mr. A. B. Michael has been a public-spirited and <br />most cooperative citizen at all levels of State and local government <br />and has been a community leader, respected by citizens, County and <br />State Officials; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of County Commissione <br />of Indian River County, Florida, to recognize the ability and the out- <br />standing unselfish service of Mr. A. B. Michael. <br />(X) <br />NOW THEREFORE, Be It Resolved by the Board of County Commis- <br />sioners of Indian River County, Florida, in regular. session, this the <br />8th day of January, A.
