Motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commis- <br />sioner Hatfield and unanimously carried, that the County Engineer is <br />authorized to negotiate for right of way along ditch 1)-4 for the first <br />=z mile South ' Citrus Road, and .the ri_,ht of alcg the South sloe <br />of "-at al D, Citrus Road, rom Lateral 1) 4 to t) 5. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commis- <br />sioner Hatfield and unanimously carried, that EarlGillis' ;application <br />for beer license at !;. S. l and Oslo Road, be approved. <br />Motion was made by Con;m `?Stoner aade i1 , seconded by Commis- <br />sioner Hatfield and unani_nousl' carried, that Guy Colley's application <br />for beer and wi.ne license for Guy's Grocery Store be denied because it <br />is to close to .a church. <br />After much discussion about: l i e guard for public beach at <br />Wabasso and the public beach known as ?mbexsand beach, Motion was made <br />by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Hifi e1 d and unanimously <br />carried, that Luther Perkins be hred as life guard for Anbersand Beach, <br />working first on weekends starting on the weekend of ipril 1.8th., then <br />on monthly basis, starting June 1 through Labor Day. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commis- <br />sioner Waddell and unanimously carried, that the County Engineer be <br />requested to write the State Road Department and request another traffic <br />survey in the Gifford area, in view of the fact that the ''previous survey <br />was not favorable and in view of the fact that there has been another <br />fatal accident in the area since the survey has been made. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commis <br />• <br />sioner Waddell and unanimously carried, that the County Engineer be <br />instructed to request the State Road Department to make a traffic survey <br />in the area of U. S. 1 from the Sebastian River Bridge for 5 or 6 blocks <br />South. <br />A letter was received from Dalrymple Insurance Agency regarding <br />obtaining some of the county's insurance. The County Engineer was re- <br />quested to write to Mr. Dalrymple and advise him that we are in the <br />process of compiling a list of all,tile insurance policies of the <br />county and that at the time of the expiration of any or all of these <br />• <br />
