WEDNESDAY, MARCH 10, 1965 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County <br />met at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, Florida, in a Regular meeting held <br />at 8:30 o'clock A. M., Wednesday, March 10,.1965. All members were <br />present. Also present were John Sutherland, County Attorney: Edwin S. <br />Schmucker, County Engineer and Ruth Elliott and Alfred H. Webber, Deputy <br />Clerks. <br />Upon Motion made by Commissioner Waddell,.seconded by Comm- <br />issioner Haffield and unanimously carried, the minutes of February 10 <br />and 17, 1965, were approved. <br />Miss Mary Lou Durrance and the Executive Committee of the <br />West Wabasso Progressive Civic Club, Inc., appeared before the. Board and <br />requested the Board to move one of the buildings behind the Courthouse <br />to the park located in the Western portion of the Wabasso area and leased <br />by'the West Wabasso Progressive Civic Club. They were informed that no <br />decision on the:disposition of the buildings would be made until the new <br />health Center is completed and that their request would be considered at <br />that time. <br />Mr. Rudy Hubbard, Agent for the Home Insurance Company, reported <br />that he had made an inspection and appraisal of all County -owned buildings <br />and their contents and presented a proposal to supply fire, lightening, <br />windstorm, hail, riot and civil commotion, falling aircraft, explosion, <br />protection <br />vehicles, vandalism and malicious mischief/or. the buildings as recommended <br />for an estimated premium of $1,625.00 for a single year, or $1,535.00 per <br />year on a five year annual payment policy. Motion was made by Commissioner <br />Macdonald, seconded by Cc.mmissioner McCullers and unanimously carried that <br />the proposal presented be accepted. <br />Mr. Hubbard also presented a General Liability proposal,.other <br />than automobile liability. Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, <br />. seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously .carried that the Board <br />study this proposal before taking any action. <br />8OO 8t 153. <br />• <br />NIA <br />101965 <br />
