Mr. W. D. Parsons, Chief of the Fellsmere Volunteer Fire • De- <br />partment and Mr. John Cann, Vice -President, appeared before the Board <br />and stated that the Dodge Fire truck which was transferred to the <br />County by the Sebastian Volunteer Fire Department, is not 4 -wheel drive, <br />and therefore would be of no use to their Department. Motion was made <br />by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner McCullers arid <br />unanimously carried, that the bills for a pump, hose and reels to <br />improve the two trucks now owned by the Fellsmere Volunteer Fire <br />Department be paid by the Board, not to exceed $500.00. <br />Colonel Whitcamp of the Rockridge Property Owners Association <br />reported that the community building at Rockridge Park is almost <br />completed at a cost of approximately $2,100..00 and invited the <br />Board members to an Open House to be held at 2 o'clock P. M., on <br />Sunday, April 4. <br />Rudy Hubbard, representing the Home Insurance Company, presented <br />an insurance proposal on additional property that is owned by the <br />County at Wabasso Beach, Ambersand Beach and Roseland, for an estimated <br />annual premium of $507.00. On Motion by Commissioner Macdonald, <br />seconded by Commissioner Waddell and unanimously carried, the proposal <br />. was accepted. The civic groups which have the buildings under lease <br />• were to be requested to continue paying the amount of their premiums <br />to the County as a refund to be applied against the premium paid by <br />the County. <br />Mr. Bill Shepard, regional group representative for Gulf Life <br />Insurance Company, presented a group hospitalization proposal for the <br />County to consider. He was requested to send a copy of the proposal <br />to each member.of the Board for study and consideration.' <br />Mr. Bill Snyder, representing Blue Cross -Blue Shield, spoke on <br />the, advantages of retaining Blue Cross for• our hospitalization insurance. <br />Boat 9 mu 175 <br />f • <br />
