SECTION 02080 <br /> CASING <br /> I .0 GENERAL <br /> 1 . 1 Scope of Work <br /> 1 . 1 . 1 The work included in this section covers the work, materials , labor <br /> and equipment necessary for joining and installing the casing as <br /> specified. <br /> 2.0 PRODUCTS <br /> 2 . 1 Personnel <br /> 2 . 1 . 1 The CONTRACTOR shall furnish capable personnel including <br /> certified welders where required to join, install , and test the casings <br /> as specified. <br /> 2 . 2 Equipment <br /> 2 .2 . 1 The CONTRACTOR shall provide appropriate equipment capable <br /> of joining and installing the casings as specified. <br /> 2 .3 General <br /> 2 . 3 . 1 All casing will be new and unused casing free from defects in <br /> materials, workmanship and handling. <br /> 2 . 3 .2 Mill certificates or equivalent for all casing material used shall be <br /> provided by the CONTRACTOR and approved by the ENGINEER <br /> prior to installation . <br /> 2 .4 Pit Casing - Optional <br /> 2 .4 . 1 Installation of pit casing is at the CONTRACTOR ' s option . <br /> 2 .4 .2 Use pipe of sufficient strength to hold the drilled hole open until <br /> grouting is completed.
