Commissioner Waddell reported that he, Commissioner Macdonald and <br />Dr. Flood had tabulated the bids received on April 7 for equipment for <br />the new Health Center, and recommended and moved that the following <br />bids be accepted: <br />Items 1 and 2 -Waiting room furniture.& Office Furniture and Equipment <br />O'Haire's Office Equipment Company $11,234.27 <br />(The bid received from Huck Office Equipment Center of <br />Fort Pierce, Fla., although $70.00 less, included type- <br />writers which were not considered to meet specifications.) <br />Item:..3.-Medical Office Furniture and Equipment <br />Aloe Division of Brunswick Corp., Chamblee, Ga...$ 2,929.68 <br />Item 4. -X-ray Equipment <br />Two proposals were received for Item No. 4, neither of <br />which met specifications and. both were rejected. <br />Item 5.- Housekeeping Equipment <br />• Vero Chemical Distributors, Inc $ 496.27 <br />(with the exception of four items, three brooms and l mop, <br />which were put in with Item•6, Miscellaneous Equipment) <br />Item 6.- Miscellaneous Equipment <br />Clyde Howard Paint and Hardware <br />Black -out Drape <br />$ 301.88 <br />Wodtke's, Vero Beach, Fla., $ 140.85 <br />(This was the lowest bid which met specifications.) <br />The Motion was seconded by Commissioner Macdonald and unanimously <br />carried. The bids received were placed on file in the office of the <br />Clerk of County Commissioners. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner <br />Macdonald and unanimously carried that the County Engineer notify <br />all persons licensed to pump septic tanks in the County that sewage <br />must be disposed of in a method as prescribed by the Florida State Board <br />of Health and to inform them that the City of Vero Beach has a degreaser <br />for this purpose. <br />Upon Motion made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner <br />Haffield and unanimously carried, the County Engineer was authorized to <br />instruct the City of Vero Beach to install the fifteen (15) street. lights, <br />as discussed at the Liasion meeting, at a monthly charge of $5.00 each. <br />8001• 9 mow <br />APR 211965 <br />
