65 <br />BOOK 9 PAGE 2IO <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner <br />Waddell and unanimously carried, that the County Engineer request the <br />State Road Department to make a traffic survey on Roseland Road between. <br />the Florida East Coast Railway, west to Collier Creek. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner <br />Waddell and unanimously carried, that the County Engineeris authorized <br />to re -advertise for a steam jenny. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner <br />Haffield and unanimously carried that the insurance on'the fire trucks, <br />carried by the Warren T. Zeuch Agency, be $100 deductible on colliaion, <br />and authorized an additional premium to change from $5,000 to $25,000, <br />Property Damage Liability. <br />Upon Motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Haffield, <br />and unanimously carried, the applications of Corinne Brown to the SE Florida <br />T.B. Hospital and of Henry James to the SW Florida T. B.. Hospital were <br />approved. <br />Deputy Clerk Alfred Webber requested permission to purchase a used <br />Friden Calculator from Huck Office Equipment Center, Fort Pierce, Florida, <br />9 <br />for $385.00. Upon Motion made by Comthissioner Haffield, seconded by <br />Commissioner Macdonald and unanimously carried, the request was granted. <br />0 <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner <br />Haffield and unanimously carried, that the Clerk be authorized to purchase <br />an air conditioner for the County Agent's office from D. & J. Sheet Metal <br />at a price less than #300.00 <br />Mr. Webber presented a letter from the Florida Association of County <br />Welfare Executives stating that they are assessing each County Welfare <br />Agency in the state on a population basis of $1.00 per 1,000 residents <br />for the development of their County Welfare Survey. The assessment for <br />Indian River County is $25.30. Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, <br />seconded by Commissioner Hatfield and unanimously carried that the'ex- <br />penditure be authorized. <br />
