Reclaimed water samples shall be taken at the monitoring site locations listed in Permit Condition I. Be <br /> 1 . and as described below: <br /> EFA- 1 After chlorination tank # 1 <br /> EFA-2 After chlorination tank #2 <br /> EFF- 1 Flow meter after chlorination tank # 1 <br /> EFF-2 Flow meter after chlorination tank #2 <br /> EFF-3 Flows EFF- 1 plus EFF-2 <br /> EFF-4 Flow from South Regional WWTF <br /> 3 . Hourly measurement of pH and total residual chlorine during the period of required operator <br /> attendance may be substituted for continuous measurement. Recording flow meters and totalizers shall be utilized to measure flow and calibrated at least annually. <br /> [62-601. 200(17) and . 500(6), 12-24-96] <br /> 5 . The arithmetic mean of the monthly fecal coliform values collected during an annual period shall not <br /> exceed 14 per 100 mL of Effluent sample. The median value of the fecal coliform values for a <br /> minimum of 10 samples of . Effiuent. each collected on a separate day during a period of 30 <br /> consecutive days (monthly) shall not exceed 14 per 100 mL of sample. No more than 10 percent of <br /> the samples collected (the 90th. percentile value) during a period of 30 consecutive days shall exceed <br /> 43 fecal coliform values per 100 mL of sample. Any one sample shall not exceed 86 fecal coliform <br /> values per 100 mL of sample. Note: To report the 90th percentile value, list the fecal coliform values <br /> obtained during the month in ascending order. Report the value of the sample that corresponds to the <br /> 90th percentile (multiply the number of samples by 0 .9). For example, for 30 samples, report the <br /> corresponding fecal coliform number for the 27th value of ascending order. <br /> [62400. 440(6) (c), 1244-96J <br /> 6 . Intermediate disinfection shall be provided for discharge to the man-made wetlands system. A <br /> minimum of 1 .0 mg/L total residual chlorine must be maintained for a minimum contact time of 15 <br /> minutes based on peak hourly flow. [62400. 440(6) (b), 12-24-96] <br /> 7 . Sampling within the wetlands at the five (5) stations shown on the attached map, including soil <br /> sampling, litter sampling, etc., for the purpose of evaluating wetland performance shall be as described <br /> in the 1993 Engineering Report All results shall be summarized and include a discussion of the <br /> wetlands system compliance with all requirements of this permit and included with the annual wetlands <br /> treatment system compliance and performance report. Continued operation of the wetlands treatment system shall be under the management of qualified <br /> Utility staff and if required, outside technical assistance will be provided from a licensed hydrological <br /> and biological specialist(s) . Since this is a created and managed wetland treatment system, persons <br /> knowledgeable in these disciplines are needed to make technical decisions based on theory and <br /> experience to properly operate and maintain the system, to minimize the occurrence of exotic and <br /> nuisance vegetation in and around the site, and to maintain nutrient levels in the discharge at or below <br /> background conditions observed in the Indian River.
