Response to Infrastructure Requirements <br /> ✓ PRE-EXISTING ON-SITE TECHNICAL SUPPORT STAFF AND OTHER RESOURCES FOR <br /> ELECTRICAL, MECHANICAL, AND INSTRUMENTATION SERVICES WHICH WILL BE MADE <br /> AVAILABLE TO OF/IFAS IN OPERATING THE PLAN AND LABORATORY FACILITIES. <br /> The county has technical support staff available at various locations, and these staff can be called upon as <br /> needed. Those locations include, but are not limited to, the landfill site, the West County Wastewater Treatment <br /> Facility, and the Indian River County Utilities Department within the County Administration Complex. The technical <br /> support staff includes engineers, biologists, technicians, and others. <br /> ✓ PRE-EXISTING ON- SITE LABORATORY FACILITIES, INCLUDING SHARED CONFERENCE <br /> ROOM SPACE, IF AVAILABLE, AND SCIENTIFIC PERSONNEL. <br /> The county has an existing laboratory facility in close proximity to the proposed site. This facility will be available <br /> for use by OF/IFAS personnel. <br /> ✓ THE SUCCESSFUL RESPONDER MUST DEMONSTRATE INDUSTRIAL PERMIT <br /> CAPABILITIES TO ACCOMMODATE THE CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF THIS <br /> RESEARCH AND DEMONSTRATION CELLULOSIC ETHANOL PLANT. <br /> The county has experienced staff, including planners, engineers, site plan reviewers, and inspectors, who can <br /> coordinate the permitting aspects of the project. These staff have the experience and capability to obtain <br /> required industrial permits. In the past, county staff have obtained permits for water treatment plants, <br /> wastewater treatment plants, landfill facilities, and other industrial facilities. <br /> ✓ IT IS EXPECTED THAT THE SITE AND RELATED INFRASTRUCTURE AND SERVICES WILL <br /> BE PROVIDED BY THE SUCCESSFUL PROPOSER AT NO COST, PROPOSER MUST <br /> INDICATE ANTICIPATED COSTS TO OF/IFAS IN PROPOSER' S PROPOSAL, IF ANY, <br /> INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE LAND, FEEDSTOCKS AND COSTS OF <br /> TRANSPORTING THE SAME TO THE PLANT, STEAM, ELECTRICAL, WATER, <br /> WASTEWATER AND OTHER UTILITIES. <br /> Anticipated Costs <br /> Item Cost to University Comments <br /> Land $0 <br /> Feedstock To be ne otiated 49, 000 to 60. 000 tons of organic material is currently available at <br /> Transportation of Feedstock To be negotiated with the site at no charge. Additional organic material available from <br /> Indian River Citrus League private property owners and/or Indian River Citrus League. <br /> and local farmers. <br /> Steam $D Need to identify specific needs and method of production before an <br /> estimate can be made. <br /> Electricity To be negotiated with FPL County will assist in negotiating with FPL for lowered electricity <br /> rates. <br /> Water $0 Non- potable water <br /> Waste Water $2.33/1000 gal Bulk rate <br /> Other Utilities Negotiated w/ roviders County will assist in negotiating w/providers for lowered rates <br /> 10 <br />
