THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 1965 The.Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County met in regular session on.Thursday, September 9, 1965, at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, Florida. All members were present. Also present were John.H. Sutherland, County Attorney; Edwin S. Schmucker, County Engineer; and Alfred H. Webber and Ruth. Elliott, Deputy Clerks.• The Chairman asked if there were any corrections or additions - to the minutes of August 4 and August 9., 1965. There were none and on Motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Macdonald and unanimously carried, the minutes were approved. Mrs. Gladys Vigliano, County Welfare Worker, presented a bill from Mecca Convalescent Home for oxygen for•Ethel E. -Bauer, a county patient. Mrs. Vigliano.was requested by the Board. to contact the patient's family concerning this bill. .Mrs. Vigliano presented three quotations for an. air-conditioner for her office and on Motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried, the quotation from D.-& J. Sheet Metal for. a 11,700 BTU, Coolerator Model R51221, Heat and Cool, for $235.00, plus installation costs of $25.00, -was -accepted. The County Engineer reported ,that additional.restroom facilities were needed.at the Old -Health Center Building and estimated the cost not to exceed $400.00. Motion was lade by Commissioner .Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner Haffield.and unanimously carried; that Commissioner McCullers check into the'situation. Alfred H. Webber presented a proposal from Althea L. Irving for janitoral service at the Old Health'Center Building for $50.00 a month, which includes cleaning same' thoroughly twice a week, cleaning two rest rooms, locking building at night and mowing the lawn.
