BOOK <br />SEP 221965 <br />9 PAGE 314 <br />WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 1965 <br />The Board of County Commissioners'of Indian River County met <br />in regular session on Wednesday, September 22., 1965 at the Court- <br />house, Vero Beach, Florida, All members were present. Also <br />present were John H. Sutherland, County Attorney; Edwin S. Schmucker, <br />County Engineer; and Alfred H. Webber and Ruth. Elliott, Deputy.Clerk. <br />Mr. J. Roberts, Jr., representative for1•B.M. appeared before <br />the Board and requested the Board to postpone any decision to <br />purchase an electronic accounting system until he can take some <br />of the Board members to see what I.B.M. has to offer. Brevard <br />County and the City of Orlando has exactly the same equipment he <br />would recommend for Indian River County. The Board tentatively <br />set Wednesday, October 13, to meet with Mr. Roberts and view the <br />systems. <br />Dr. Robert H. Vinson presented the Board with a Summary of. <br />Florida's plan for Mental Health and invited the members of the <br />Board to a meeting to be held at the Community Building on Thursday, <br />October 21 where the long range plans.for this area will be outlined. <br />Mrs. Rosemary Richey, Supervisor of Elections, informed the <br />Board of recent legislation concerning the County Canvassing Board. <br />The County Judge is now Chairman of the Board and has called a <br />meeting for November 3rd at 8:00 o'clock A. M. to canvass the votes <br />for the Special Election to be held November 2nd. <br />On Motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner <br />McCullers and unanimously carried, the following Resolution was <br />adopted: <br />RES O L U T I 0 N <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County that the Blue Cross -Blue Shield contract be renewed, <br />the $6.85 single rate, $18.60 family rates, and that the Board' <br />
