61965 <br />J <br />WHEREAS, the Los Angeles Dodgers have shown out- <br />standing courage, ability and initiative in winning the <br />National League Pennant; and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County is indeed fortunate to <br />have the Los Angeles Dodgers' Spring training facilities <br />located in Vero Beach, Florida; and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County receives tremendous <br />benefits from the relationship with the Los Angeles Dodgers <br />due to all of the free advertising gained by this county and <br />great economic benefits to the merchants of Indian River <br />County; and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County is proud to be a part of <br />the outstanding accomplishment achieved by the Los Angeles <br />Dodgers in their 1965 baseball season; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County in regular session this <br />the 6th day of October, A. D. 1965, that this Board does <br />herewith send its most hearty congratulations for the -out- <br />standing achievement in the winning of the National League <br />Pennant and this Board does for itself and for all of the <br />citizens of Indian River County extend a most sincere wish <br />for continued success in winning the World Series and to see <br />the World's Series Pennant flying over Holman Stadium during <br />the 1966 Spring training. <br />4 <br />
