JAN 51966 <br />• <br />aoox 9 PACE 400 <br />The Engineer requested the Board to instruct him whether or <br />not to set up the State Road 60 right-of-way acquisition under the <br />$500,000 road bond program. It was suggested that he get some <br />specific plans from the State Road Department on SR 60 and go ahead . <br />with right-of-way estimates on Old Dixie from 19th Street to Glendale <br />Road, the Wabasso Bridge approach. and State Road 60 from tho city limits <br />to I95. <br />The Board instructed the County Engineer to add to the Primary <br />Program the'one-half mile eliminating the double curve on SR 512, <br />which section is approximately one-half mile east of the east city <br />limits of Fellsmere and to request the State Road Department to <br />combine this with the contract for the Fellsmere bridge over the <br />fork of the Sebastian River. <br />On Motion by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner <br />McCullers, and unanimously carried, the Chairman and the Clerk were <br />authorized tb execute the Contract between the Shoup Voting Machine <br />Corporation and the County for the purchase of ten vertical type <br />voting machines at the price of $1,989.50 each, f.o.b. Canton, Ohio. <br />On Motion by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner <br />Haffield and carried, Rosemary Richey was authorized to attend Work <br />Shop and Mid -winter conference of Supervisor of Elections to be <br />held in Tallahassee on January 19 through 22, 1966. <br />Commissioner Haffield moved that the agreement with Thomas <br />J. Maxwell of 570 Royal Palm Blvd, to take over the•care of the <br />Welfare Building and grounds as of January 1, 1966 for $50.00 per <br />month be approved. Motion was seconded by Commissioner McCullers <br />and unanimously carried. <br />
