Martin, spokesman for a delegation from Roseland, <br />appeared before the Board and requested that the county consider paving <br />Manatee Street in Roseland. He stated the Roseland Post Office is <br />located on this street causilg heavy traffic which created a lot of dust <br />and this is•a nuisance and health hazard. Motion was made by Commis- <br />sioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner Waddell and unanimously <br />carried, that the street be put on our priority list and as soon as the <br />funds are available that we pave this street. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Haffield, seconded by Commis- <br />sioner Waddell and unanimously carried, that we make an offer to Mrs. <br />Clemann of $1,500.00, which is the appraised value, for approximately <br />.52 acre: <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, -seconded by Commis, - <br />stoner Haffield and unanimously carried, that an appraisal be ordered on <br />the Swing property for the purpose of purchasing.it for use as an <br />addition to the Oslo dump. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commis <br />sioner Haffield and unanimously carried, that a request be made to <br />Florida Power and Light Company•to install Street light at the inter- <br />section .of Oslo Road and Old Dixie Highway. <br />The County Engineer reported that the Attorney General's <br />Office turned down the offer to use the county building. once occupied <br />by Walter T. Erickson. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded 'by Commis- <br />sioner McCullers and unanimously carried, that the County Engineer be <br />authorized to purchase a typewriter at a cost of -$450.00 less trade in. <br />John Charles Mitchell, representing Arthur Lee Henderson, <br />and Arthur Lee Henderson, appeared before the Board and .presented a <br />petition to abandon the existing public road lying in Lot' 52 of Espy's <br />subdivision, except the South 20 feet thereof. Motion was made by <br />Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously <br />carried, that public hearing be authorized and that•the following <br />Resolution be adopted. <br />
