BOOK 9 PACE 490 <br />is provided in the south end of the County; that the growth and real <br />estate developments in the south end of Indian River County is in- <br />creasing daily and I-95 would be a useful link in our local transporation <br />system providing we would have access to it; and that the population <br />growth of Indian River County is going southward and westward from <br />Vero Beach. If no interchange in Indian River County is given south <br />of Road 60, traffic originating north or south must use already <br />heavily traveled Road 60 for connection to U. S. # 1 i order to <br />arrive at points in the south end of Indian River County. This letter <br />shall be a supplement to the Resolution adopted in Special Session <br />on December 28, 1965. Motion was seconded by Commissioner McCullers <br />and unanimously carried. <br />Commissioner Macdonald moved that the County Engineer be <br />instructed to clean out the rear lot drainage ditch through A. A. <br />Berry's Subdivision:.and re -locate that part of the ditch from <br />. Elaine Street North, provided we have an,easenent from Mr. Duerden <br />for the digging and maintenance of the ditch; and further, that <br />upon receipt of all necessary right-of-way deeds., properly executed, <br />the County will accept for maintenance, Elaine Street, from Dale <br />Street west one-quarter mile. Motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Waddell and unanimously carried. <br />The County Engineer reported that he receiveda request <br />from the City Council of the City of Sebastian to install a <br />drainage pipe in a ditch on the west side of Old U.S.#1 for a <br />distance of 150 feet, which is in the area of the By -Rite Store. <br />The proper Road and Bridge Fund expenditure accounts shall be <br />reimbursed from the Road Tax to Municipalities Account. Commissioner <br />Macdonald moved that the County Engineer be authorized to comply <br />with the request of the City of Sebastian.
