Bid Security must be in the sum of not less than Five Percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, made payable to Indian River County Board of County Commissioners. In the event the Contract is awarded to the Bidder, Bidder will enter into a Contract with the County and furnish the required 100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond within the timeframe set by the County. If Bidder fails to do so, the Bid Security shall retained by the County as liquidated damages and not as a penalty. Please note that the questionnaire must be filled out completely including the financial statement. The County reserves the right to delay awarding of the Contract for a period of sixty 60 days after the bid opening, to waive informalities in any bid, or reject any or all bids in whole or in part with or without cause, or to accept the bid that, in its judgment, will serve the best interest of Indian River County, Florida.
