ENGINEER determines that the pollution control and treatment system is not in <br />compliance with the approved system, the OWNER or ENGINEER will shut the <br />portion of the project down that is not in compliance, and it shall remain shut- <br />down until the pollution control and treatment system is properly constructed or <br />repaired, and complies with the approved pollution control and treatment <br />system plans and specifications. <br />C. Schedule construction to minimize erosion and stormwater runoff from the <br />construction site. Implement erosion control measures on disturbed areas as <br />soon as practicable in portions of the site where construction activities have <br />temporarily or permanently ceased, but in no case more than 7 days after the <br />construction activity in that portion of the site has temporarily or permanently <br />ceased. <br />D. Inspect each pollution control system at least once per day. Clean and <br />maintain each pollution control system as required by its manufacturer or the <br />OWNER, until the system is no longer needed. If a water quality violation <br />occurs, immediately cease all work contributing to the water quality violation and <br />correct the problem. <br />E. Discharge shall not violate State or local water quality standards in the receiving <br />waters, nor cause injury to the public health or to public or private property, nor <br />to the Work completed or in progress. The receiving point for water from <br />construction operations shall be approved by the applicable regulatory agency <br />and the ENGINEER. <br />F. Promptly repair all damage at no cost to the OWNER. <br />1.4 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Shop Drawings: Submit shop drawings of the proposed pollution control and <br />treatment systems in accordance with Section 01340 Supplementary <br />Conditions to the General Conditions. <br />B. Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan. <br />1.5 STATE CERTIFIED EROSION CONTROL SPECIALTY SUBCONTRACTOR IS <br />REQUIRED FOR DESIGN, INSTALLATION, AND MAINTENANCE <br />A.
