<br />The Board of county commissioners of Indian River county, Florida, met/the Court
<br />House in Vero Beach, at 10 o'clock .A.M.Tuesday, January lst 1929, with the following
<br />members of the Board present: John H. Atkin, Chairman; T.W.1bBruce; J.J.P.Ha.milton
<br />and O.O.Helseth. Also present were Miles Warren, Clerk and John H.Sutherland,Sheriff.
<br />The Notary Public bond of Paul H. N'isle, in the sum of $500.00 with The American
<br />Surety Company, a corporation, was approved.
<br />The Bond of .Alex MaeWilliam, as Justice of Peace, 5th District in the sum -of $500.0
<br />with B.H.Phillips and H.G.Redstone, as sureties was approved.
<br />The Bond of F4erton E.Carter, as County Surveyor, in the sum of 019000.00 with
<br />United 'States Fidelity and Guaranty Company, as surety .mas approved.
<br />The bond of J.J.P.Hamilton, as County Commissioner, District #3, in the sum of
<br />$21000.00 with S.R.Hamilton and J.W.Hinton, as sureties was approved.
<br />The bond of J.D.Yongue, as County Commissioner, District #l, in the sum of
<br />$2000.00 with American Surety Company, a corporation, as surety was approved.
<br />The 'bond of David Rose as Member -School Board District #1, in the sum of $2,000.00
<br />with W.A.Yartin and E.'W.Vickers, as sureties was approved.
<br />The bond of J-T.ZeBruce, as County Commissioner, District #2, in the sum. of
<br />$20000.00 with Royal Indemnity Company, a C0370 ration, as surety was approved.
<br />The bond of Lake R. Rymer, as Deputy 2ieriff in the sum of $1,000.00 with
<br />C.R.McClure and Eli C. Walker, as sureties was approved.
<br />The Bond ' of J.Y.Copeland, as Constable District #5, in the sum of $500.00 with
<br />G.I;.Harrell and C.F.McClure, as sureties was approved.
<br />The bond of Gordon R.Olmstead, as Tax. Collector in the sum of $20,000.00 with the

<br />Several citizens of the County appeared before the Board and addressed the body
<br />respecting the retention of the County .Agent. The question was taken under advisement
<br />and consideration.
<br />It was ordered Mrs Virginia Smith be paid $4.00 account expenditures made for
<br />pauper. ,
<br />It was ordered that Willie Williams, blind negro, be placed on the pauper list to
<br />receive 015.00 per month.
<br />There being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried, the Board
<br />adjourned until Friday January 11th 1929.
