On Motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner
<br />McCullers and unanimously carried, the request for permit from Central
<br />and Southern Florida Flood Control District to place culverts under-
<br />neath the road between C-54 and the Fellsmere Main Canal was granted.
<br />'Letters from Charles E. Smith, President of the Kiwanis Club,
<br />and from Gene Waddell, President of the Student Council of Vero Beach
<br />High School were read, requesting the use of five voting machines
<br />to be used to elect officers for the Student Government. The Kiwanis
<br />Club is sponsoring the program to educate the students in the use of
<br />the voting machines. Upon Motion by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded
<br />by Commissioner Waddell and unanimously carried, the request was
<br />granted and the Engineer requested to deliver the machines to the
<br />school on March 21.
