<br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County met
<br />in regular session at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, Florida, on Wed-
<br />nesday, June 8, 1966, at 8:30 o'clock A. M. Present were Robert
<br />W. Graves, Chairman, D. B. McCullers, Jr., Jerre J. Haffield and
<br />Dr. B. Q. Waddell. Absent was Donald Macdonald. Also present were
<br />John H. Sutherland, County Attorney, Edwin S. Schmucker, County Engineer,
<br />and Alfred H. Webbe 'and. Ruth Elliott, Deputy Clerks.
<br />The Chairman asked if there were any corrections or additions
<br />to the minutes of May 11, May 20, and. May 25, 1966. There were none,
<br />and on Motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Haffield
<br />and unanimously carried, the minutes were approved as written.
<br />Motion was made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner
<br />Haffield and unanimously carried, that the request of Homer C. Fletcher,
<br />Tax Assessor, to close his office each day at noon beginning June 13,
<br />in order to prepare the tax roll, in accordance with Attorney General's
<br />opinion, be granted.
<br />Homer C. Fletcher, Tax Assessor, requested a thirty (30) day
<br />extension until August 1 for the Equalization Meeting. On Motion by
<br />Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner McCullers, it was
<br />unanimously voted that the extension be granted.
