Statement of Work <br /> Overview Project Name : Wabasso Beach Park Restoration Area Archaeological Survey <br /> Client: Government of Indian River County <br /> Client Contact: Clifford J. Suthard <br /> Thomas Penders & Associates Contact: Thomas E. Penders <br /> Tentative Project Start Date : TBD <br /> Tentative Project End Date: TBD <br /> This Statement of Work ("SOW") will be performed under the terms and conditions <br /> of the attached Proposal between Thomas Penders & Associates, Titusville, Florida <br /> and Government of Indian River County (client) and is incorporated therein. <br /> 1 .0 The objectives of this SOW are to demonstrate that Thomas Penders & <br /> Objectives Associates: <br /> • Understands the problem, opportunity, and need. <br /> • Can describe an approach to meet the project' s requirements. <br /> • Has developed a fair estimate of time, costs, and schedules. <br /> • Has correctly identified the deliverables for the project. <br /> The objectives of this project are: <br /> • To assist Government of Indian River County in their assessment <br /> project of the Wabasso Beach Park Restoration survey area. <br /> • To assist Government of Indian River County in identification and <br /> assessment of prehistoric and historical archaeological sites within <br /> the project area. <br /> • To act as an archaeological consultant to Government of Indian <br /> River County including assessment and identification of cultural <br /> remains and act as a liaison to the Government of Indian River <br /> County and the Florida Division of Historical Resources <br /> 2,0 The scope of the project is limited to conducting an archaeological survey within <br /> Scope the defined project area. The project will include a records review, informant <br /> interviews, data analysis, field surface and subsurface surveys, and assessment of <br /> all sites located within the property boundaries. <br /> Every effort will be made to locate previously recorded and unrecorded <br /> archaeological and historical sites. In addition, each site will be tested to determine <br /> the boundaries of each identified site. The project will involve Thomas Penders & <br /> Associates assisting Government of Indian River County in the identification of <br /> archaeological sites. The project will also involve archaeological consultation as <br /> needed. In the event previously unrecorded archaeological sites are discovered, <br /> Thomas Penders & Associates will assist in the identification of cultural remains <br /> and provide support to Government of Indian River County as needed. This <br /> includes acting as liaison with Government of Indian River County and Florida <br /> Page 1 of 5 Division of Historical Resources personnel. <br />
