Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner <br />Waddell and unanimously carried that a letter be sent to the Florida <br />State Board of Health reaffirming the Board's approval of Dr. Kelso's <br />Atomedic Hospital as shown in Resolution adopted on April 20, 1966. <br />Mr. A. T. LeFever appeared before the Board and questioned if <br />the extension of Russell Burk's Water and Sewer Franchise had been <br />done without a feasibility study. The County Attorney presented a <br />satisfactory Resolution on the Extension of the Franchise, prepared <br />by Mr. Burks Attorney, J. Kenneth Sharpe, but a letter of recommendation <br />from the State Board of Health regarding the present operation has <br />not been received by the Board and no action was taken. <br />The County Engineer presented quotations from Barker Electric <br />Company and D. f J. Sheet Metal for an air conditioning unit for his <br />front office and recommended the Frederick Unit from Barker Electric <br />Co., with reverse cycie. Commissioner Waddell moved that the Engineer's <br />recommendation be followed, and that the air conditioner be installed <br />at a cost of $464.00 by Barker Electric Company. The Motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Macdonald and unanimously carried. <br />NWW4♦- <br />The County Engineer reported that he had received a letter of <br />acknowledgement from the Outdoor Recreational Planning Committee <br />on the application for matching funds '®Tr the acquisition .of Round <br />Island , Parlt. <br />The County Engineer discussed the present status of various <br />'Primary :and' Se'donaa:ry' r®a'd.projects as he had been informed at a <br />recent meeting with State Road Department officials which included <br />Old Dixie Highway right-of-way plan, intersection of Clemmans Avenue <br />and Road 60 and intersection of Emerson Avenue and Road 60, and <br />Indian River Boulevard. <br />Mr. Jack Jennings reported that the owner of Lot 5, Ambersand <br />Beach Subdivision is Polly Lesser and Lots 8 and 9 are owned by <br />Florence Mett. These are the lots adjoining Ambersand Beach Park, <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner <br />McCullers and unanimously carried that the Road and Bridge Department <br />be instructed to make haste with the drainage problems facing us, in <br />priority to anything else. <br />AUG 17 1966 <br />BOOK 9 PAGE 699 <br />
