Commissioner Macdonald reported that he had been informed by <br />Mr. Billy Roberson,(after last meeting) that the Forest Service has <br />a truck that they will give the County which can be stationed at the <br />Sebastian Fire Department and he read a letter from the Sebastian <br />Volunteer Fireā€¢Department, dated September 20, 1966, stating that they <br />will accept a truck from the Forestry Service, same to be built up to <br />the following specifications: All tires to be in first class condition; <br />700 to 750 gallon tank to be -installed; one 300 G.P.M. pump,.front <br />mount, two electric hose reels, and 400 feet of hose on reels. The <br />estimated cost of same to be $1,892.00. Commissioner Macdonald moved, <br />seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried, that the <br />Board request the truck from the Florida Forest Service and equip <br />it with the items heretofore mentioned. <br />Mr. Sweeten explained that the title of the truck will remain <br />with the Forest Service and that it will be leased to the County who <br />will assume liability. <br />Mr. Kenneth Damerow, Engineer, and Mr. Lisbon Futch, member of <br />the Sebastian Inlet Commission, discussed with the Board a letter <br />received from their attorney, Mr. Ellis Davis, dated September 12, <br />1966 regarding the agreement between the Owners, Sebastian Inlet District <br />and the County. Mr. Damerow presented a proposed perpetual easement, <br />, according to the terms of the Agreement, prepared by their Attorney. <br />No action was taken until the description is corrected. <br />Mr. Jennings reported that he had talked to Minute Maid in regard <br />to the shifting of one mile of Oslo Road and they were cooperative but <br />requested that no action be taken until their engineers have met with the <br />St Lucie County Commission on a -Tatter of trying to arrange for right of <br />way from St. Lucie County to the Indian River County line, The plans <br />are for a road from SR 60 into St. Lucie County, with an off -set which <br />would fall over this mile of road where the shift would occur and they <br />felt it should be incorporated in the over all program. The matter <br />was tabled until the next meeting. <br />Mr. Robert Lloyd was present and stated that°if this program is <br />implemented, is one more reason that the Board should insist that I95 <br />SEP 21 1966 <br />606k 9 PAGE /26 <br />
