The proposed change would require•a valid per- <br />mit from the health department specifying the requirements <br />for adequate sewage disposal for the particular building and <br />location. <br />In doubtful areas the health department may require a soil <br />profile or other pertinent information to be furnished by <br />the applicant. <br />A final inspection by this department will be performed to <br />insure compliance with the stipulations of the original <br />permit. <br />In the event of a. refusal by this department the applicant nay <br />present a sewage disposal system which is certified by a register- <br />ed engineer licensed to practice in Indian River County and which <br />will meet sanitary requirements. <br />If this is refused by the County Health Department the applicant <br />may request a special hearing by the Board of County Commissioners. <br />CCF/fcg <br />Sincerely yours, <br />C. The <br />Board gave its approval, provided the Health Department has the necessary <br />funds in its budget. <br />N <br />Attorney John Charles Mitchell submitted the request of the Board <br />of Trustees of the Indian River County Hospital District that a "Public <br />Opinion Poll" be placed on the ballot•:at the General Election, November 8, <br />1966, regarding the proposed mental health facility, stating that the <br />Board of Trustees have indicated that they will bear any expense of <br />placing the poll on the ballot.
