ARTICLE 17 <br />OVERTIME <br />17.1 It is the policy of the County not to work beyond the regularly <br />week unless conditions warrant. <br />17.2 Management may schedule overtime beyond the standard hours <br />best interest of the County and is the most practical and ecc <br />meeting workloads or deadlines. <br />17.3 Employees will be required to work overtime when requested by <br />unless excused by management. Employees may volunteer to v <br />and should communicate that interest to their supervisors. Employ( <br />volunteered shall be selected to perform overtime work before nc <br />unless management determines that work-related reasons exist <br />non -volunteers. Overtime will only be scheduled for those err <br />qualified to perform the work required. In all work units, ove <br />equalized among employees who are similarly classified, except as <br />Section 17.4 below. All other factors being the same, seniority may <br />selection factor. <br />17.4 For overtime computation, vacation leave, holidays, funeral leave, ju <br />military leave shall be considered as time worked.
