C . The CONTRACTOR shall obtain and pay for all other required permits and <br /> licenses . The CONTRACTOR shall provide copies of the permits to the <br /> OWNER and ENGINEER and shall comply with all conditions contained in <br /> the permits at no extra cost to the OWNER. <br /> D . The CONTRACTOR shall be familiar with all permit requirements during <br /> construction and shall be responsible for complying with these <br /> requirements . The cost of this effort shall be included in the pay item in <br /> which the work is most closely associated with . <br /> SC -6. 10 Taxes <br /> SC-6 . 10 . A Delete paragraph GC- 6. 10. A in its entirety and insert the following in its place: <br /> OWNER qualifies for state and local sales tax exemption in the purchase of all material and <br /> equipment <br /> SC -13 .03 Test and Inspections <br /> SC- 13 . 03 . 8 . Delete the first sentence of paragraph GC- 13. 03. 8 in its entirety, and insert the <br /> following sentences in its place: <br /> B . OWNER shall employ and pay for the services of an independent testing laboratory to <br /> perform all initial inspections , tests , or approvals required by the Contract Documents <br /> except those inspections , tests , or approvals listed immediately below. Subsequent <br /> inspections , tests , or approvals required after initial failing inspections , tests , or <br /> approvals shall be paid for by the CONTRACTOR by backcharge to subsequent <br /> applications for payment . The CONTRACTOR shall arrange , obtain , and pay for the <br /> following inspections , tests , or approvals : <br /> 1 . inspections , tests , or approvals covered by paragraphs 13 . 03 . 0 and 13 . 03 . D <br /> below; <br /> 2 , costs incurred in connection with tests or inspections conducted pursuant to <br /> paragraph 13 . 04 . 13 shall be paid as provided in said paragraph 13 . 04 . 8 ; <br /> 3 , tests otherwise specifically provided in the Contract Documents . <br /> 13 . 05 OWNER May Stop the Work <br /> SC- 13 . 05 .A.
