110 . CLEARING AND GRUBBING <br /> A Payment for Clearing and Grubbing shall include compensation for: the <br /> removal and disposal of exotic vegetation , abandoned utilities ( including <br /> pipes , cables , conduit and structures ) , existing walls , riprap , various types of <br /> fences , septic tanks , drain fields , pump stations , motor boxes , pumps , <br /> irrigation apparatus , base material , trimming of trees and shrubs , drainage <br /> structures , pipe , backfilling the removal excavations , plus all other items <br /> necessary to be removed to construct the project . All non -salvageable <br /> materials removed shall remain property of the Contractor unless otherwise <br /> directed by the Engineer or Owner. All unwanted materials shall be removed <br /> and suitably disposed of by the Contractor outside the project limits . Any <br /> salvage value received from the removed materials shall be reflected in the <br /> Contractor's proposal . <br /> B . Clear and grub within the entire limits of the right-of-way except in specific <br /> areas designated by the Engineer to remain for aesthetic purposes . Also <br /> clear and grub all existing exotics on the project eastern burm . <br /> Co Existing and temporary asphaltic pavement and excess subsoil shall be <br /> disposed of outside the project by the Contractor , at a location and in a <br /> manner approved by the Engineer. <br /> D . Removal of existing pavement includes all removal and disposal of the <br /> asphalt within the limit shown on the plans . <br /> E . Payment shall be made under: <br /> Item No . 110 - 1 Clearing and Grubbing — Lump Sum <br /> ITEM NO . 120 — GRADING . EXCAVATION AND EMBANKMAENT <br /> The work specified in this item shall conform to Section 120 of the Florida Department of <br /> Transportation Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction . ( Latest Edition ) <br /> This item shall include all excavation of whatever kind , including subsoil , if necessary , for <br /> the roadway , drainage channels , removal of existing pavement , structures and any other <br /> work normally included in Section 120 -7 . Also included is all work necessary to construct <br /> all necessary embankments , including compaction of same , normally included in Section <br /> 120-8 and 102 -9 . Grading of swales and the construction of all earthwork necessary to <br /> achieve the final elevations , lines , grades and contours shown on the plans shall be <br /> included in this item . No other additional payment will be made for any earthwork , grading <br /> or excavation . <br /> Item of Payment <br /> Payment for the work specified in this item shall be made under: <br /> Bid Item No . 120 - 6 Embankment (fill ) Cubic Yard Bid Item No . 120- 1 Excavation , <br /> Regular Cubic Yard . <br /> 334 .
