2 .2 . 8 . Polyethylene (PE) Pressure Pipe <br /> Testing(Cont' d) <br /> r must submit his plan for testing to the Engineer for review at least ( 10) days <br /> The Contractor p S g <br /> before starting the test. <br /> 2.2.9 . Audio-Video Taping <br /> Description <br /> Prior to commencing the work, the Contractor shall have a continuous color audio-video tape <br /> recording taken along the entire length of the Project and at all proposed pump station sites <br /> within the Project area to serve as a record of pre-construction conditions. <br /> No construction shall begin prior to review and approval of the tapes covering the construction <br /> area by the Engineer. The Engineer shall have the authority to reject all or any portion of a video <br /> tape not conforming to specifications and order that it be redone at no additional charge. The <br /> Contractor shall reschedule unacceptable coverage within five (5) days after being notified. The <br /> Engineer shall designate those areas, if any, to be omitted from our added to the audio-video <br /> coverage. Tape recordings shall not be made more than ninety (90) days prior to construction in <br /> any area. All tapes and written records shall become property of Owner. The tapes shall be <br /> delivered to the Owner within ten ( 10) days after recording. <br /> The Contractor shall engage the services of a professional electrographer. The color audio-video <br /> tapes shall be prepared by a responsible commercial firm known to be skilled and regularly <br /> engaged in the business of preconstruction color audio-video tape documentation. The <br /> electrographer shall furnish to the Engineer a list of all equipment to be used for the audio-video <br /> taping, i.e. manufacturer's name, model number, specifications and other pertinent information. <br /> Audio-video tapes shall be new. Reprocessed tapes will not be acceptable. The tapes shall be <br /> one-half inch, high energy, extended still frame capable, video cassette, shall be interchangeable <br /> with the color video cassette player and shall be compatible for playback with standard VHS <br /> player-receiver. <br /> 29 <br />
