<br /> The MEMPHIS data provide a calculation that will determine the so vings in
<br /> average annualized loss that can be experienced as a result of flood mitigatio (for example ,
<br /> raising height of structure 1 foot above base flood elevation ) . Table 4 . 8 illustrates this
<br /> calculation . The biggest mitigation gains would be to mitigate flood hazards ir single -family
<br /> and condominium structures .
