( Universal ) is pleased to provide this proposal for <br /> Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Materials Testing ( CMT) services at the above. <br /> practices and the project minimum requirements . <br /> referenced project in accordance with the generally accepted soil and foundation engineering <br /> We are confident that our experience , quality of service , professional attitude and proximity <br /> to the site will be of value throughout the design and construction phases of the project . <br /> PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> We understand that the project will be constructed in three phases and will consist of various <br /> improvements along 66th Avenue and 16th Street in Indian River County, Florida . These <br /> improvements include : stormwater utility installation , new sidewalk installation , new roadway <br /> construction , widening and resurfacing . In addition , approximately 3 , 700 linear feet of water <br /> main addition is planned for a portion of 66th Avenue . Three drilled shafts are also planned for <br /> signalization improvements at the intersection of 66th Avenue and 16th Street . The <br /> signalization improvements will include the installation of three (3 ) traffic signal masts , one <br /> each at the northeast , northwest and southwest corners of the subject intersection . We <br /> assume that the mast poles will have a maximum height of 25 feet and the mast arms will <br /> extend horizontally 60 to 80 feet . <br /> GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING SCOPE OF SERVICE <br /> Based on the information provided , Universal proposes the following field services to obtain <br /> information regarding the subsurface conditions at the site . The exploration will be performed <br /> in general concordance with pertinent FDOT guidelines and procedures . The field services <br /> will include the following tasks : <br />
