The Contractor shall also provide restrained joints in accordance with the above <br /> r <br /> criteria wherever below ground fittings are on lines 12-inches in diameter or less . <br /> 11 . 06 HORIZONTAL SEPARATION <br /> A. All water and/or sewer utilities shall be located a minimum horizontal separation <br /> equal to the depth of the pipe plus the diameter of the pipe from any permanent <br /> above ground structures (i .e . , walls , trees , transformer pads, etc. ) . <br /> B . A minimum 4-feet separation is required between water/sewer utilities and other <br /> underground utilities such as telephone, gas, cable , irrigation , etc. <br /> C. All water and/or sewer utilities shall be located a minimum horizontal separation <br /> equal to 2 times the depth of the pipe plus the diameter of the pipe from the top <br /> .. of bank of any bodies of water (I . e. , storm water ponds , canals, etc. ). <br /> D . All water mains shall be located a minimum horizontal separation of 3 ft. from <br /> storm sewer, stormwater force main or reclaimed water main . <br /> E . All water mains shall be located a minimum horizontal separation of 3 ft. , with 10 <br /> ft. preferred , from vacuum sanitary sewer mains. <br /> F . All water mains shall be located a minimum horizontal separation of 6 ft. , with 10 <br /> ft. preferred , from gravity or pressure sanitary sewer, sanitary sewer force main <br /> or reclaimed water main . <br /> 11 .07 VERTICAL SEPARATION <br /> A. Maintain 18" vertical clearance between any water/sewer utility and any other <br /> underground utilities such as telephone , gas , cable , irrigation , etc. <br /> B . All water mains shall maintain a minimum 6" vertical clearance between storm <br /> sewer, vacuum sewer system and gravity sewer with 12" vertical clearance <br /> preferred .
