1 <br />Item 1 - Response to RFI received subsequent to the issuance of ADDENDUM #3: <br />1. ARE THE SIDEWALKS AND PARKING LOTS FOR BOPPY'S AND THE REAL ESTATE GOING <br />TO STAY, AS IS, OR ARE THEY COMING OUT? <br />The sidewalks are to stay as is, and CONTRACTOR will be responsible for making a smooth <br />transition from the parking lot and sidewalk apron to the existing sidewalk. <br />2. SUPPLEMENTARY CONDITION 17.14 — MINIMUM PERCENTAGE OF WORK TO BE <br />PERFORMED BY CONTRACTOR - STATES THE CONTRACTOR MUST PERFORM AT LEAST <br />51% OF THE WORK WITH ITS OWN PERSONNEL AND EQUIPMENT, PLEASE PROVIDE <br />CLARIFICATION OF THE INTENT OF THE OWNER AS WE WOULD BE UNABLE TO ADHERE <br />TO THIS CONDITION, BUT WOULD LIKE TO BID THE PROJECT AND HAVE BEEN WORKING <br />FEVERISHLY TO ASSEMBLE OUR PROPOSAL. <br />In the CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT, Section 00800 Supplementary Conditions to the General <br />Conditions, Article SC47.14 Minimum Percentage of Work to be Performed by CONTRACTOR, <br />DELETE THAT ARTICLE. <br />3. THE FOLLOWING WAS RECEIVED FROM A BIDDER; "I SPOKE WITH CATHY KEMP THIS <br />AFTERNOON. (772-489-6254) SHE IS THE SERVICE PLANNER FOR FPL FOR THIS SITE. <br />SHE INDICATED THEFOLLOWING: <br />THERE IS NO 3 PHASE POWER ON THE POLES ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE PROPERTY. <br />THE ONLY WAY TO GET 3 PHASE TO THE NW CORNER IS TO COME ACROSS SR A1A, <br />WHICH WOULD REQUIRE DOT PERMIT, LENGTHY PROCESS, ACCORDING TO CATHY. <br />AN OPTION FOR LIFT STATION 3 PHASE WOULD BE TO COME FROM THE CONCRETE <br />POLE NEXT TO THE SIDEWALK BETWEEN BOPPY'S AND THE REALESTATE OFFICE. SHE <br />SAID FEES WOULD BE REQUIRED FOR THE TRANSFORMERS AND LABOR. HOW MUCH: <br />SHE DIDN'T KNOW. ANOTHER QUESTION FROM MY END WOULD BE, CAN WE RUN <br />UNDERGROUND THRU THE REAL ESTATE PARKING LOT?" <br />FPL has already been requested to extend 3-phase power to the power pole shown on the plans, <br />see sheet U -8a and the attached service request.
