In there aration of Drawings ' <br /> p p gs and Specifications, ENGINEER or ENGINEER' s <br /> Consultants relied upon the following drawings of physical conditions in or relating to <br /> existing surface and subsurface structures (except Underground Facilities) which are at or <br /> contiguous to the Site: <br /> 1 . Drawings dated August 1992, prepared by Camp Dresser & McKee Inc., entitled: <br /> ' South County RO Plant Expansion, consisting of 51 sheets numbered G- 1 to I47, <br /> inclusive. <br /> D. Copies of reports and drawings itemized in SC-4.02.0 that are not included with Bidding <br /> Documents may be examined at CDM. 1701 State Road AIA Suite 301 Vero Beach <br /> Florida 32963 during regular business hours. These reports and drawings are not part of the <br /> Contract Documents, but the "technical data" contained therein upon which <br /> CONTRACTOR may rely as identified and established above are incorporated therein by <br /> reference. CONTRACTOR is not entitled to rely upon other information and data utilized <br /> by ENGINEER and ENGINEER' s Consultants in the preparation of Drawings and <br /> Specifications. <br /> SC-4 .05 Reference Points <br /> SC-4 .05 Add the following new paragraphs immediately after GC-4. 05.A : <br /> B . Contractor is responsible for measuring and recording existing elevations prior to <br /> construction. Existing elevations shall be maintained throughout construction. Contractor <br /> is also responsible for preservation and/or replacement of any and all existing permanent <br /> survey monumentation affected by construction. <br /> C . ENGINEER may check the lines, elevations, reference marks, batter boards, etc. , set by <br /> CONTRACTORS, and CONTRACTOR shall correct any errors disclosed by such a <br /> check. Such a check shall not be considered as approval of CONTRACTOR' S work and <br /> shall no relieve CONTRACTOR of the responsibility for accurate construction of the <br /> entire work. CONTRACTOR shall furnish personnel to assist ENGINEER in checking <br /> lines and grades. <br /> SC4 .06 Hazardous Environmental Condition at Site <br /> SC-4.06 G. Delete paragraphs GC-4. 06 G andH. <br /> SC-5 .01 Performance, Payment and Other Bonds <br /> SC-5 .01 .A. Delete paragraph GC-5. OLA in its entirety and insert the following paragraphs in its place: <br /> A. Within ten ( 10) days of receipt of the Contract Documents for execution, the <br /> CONTRACTOR shall furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to 125% of the <br /> Contract Price and a Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price. <br /> 1 . The CONTRACTOR shall provide two separate bonds . A combined Payment <br /> and Performance Bond for 125 % of the Contract Price is not an acceptable <br /> substitute. <br /> 2 . The Surety for the Payment Bond and the Performance Bond shall be authorized <br /> to issue surety bonds in Florida and be included in the most recent United States <br /> Department of Treasury List of Acceptable Sureties . The CONTRACTOR shall <br /> require the attorney-in-fact, who executed the Payment Bond and the <br /> 6706-38392\8/20/03 00800-3 VRB <br />
