WEDNESDAY, MARCH 8, 1967 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in regular session at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, Florida, <br />on Wednesday, March 8, 1967, at 8:30 o'clock A. M. Present were <br />Robert W. Graves, Chairman; D. B. McCullers, Jr., Vice -Chairman; <br />Donald Macdonald, Richard Bogosian, and Jack Dritenbas'. Also present <br />were County Administrator Jack G. Jennings; County Attorney Sherman <br />N. Smith, Jr.; and Deputy Clerks, Alfred H. Webber and Ruth Elliott. <br />The Chairman asked if there were any corrections or additions <br />to the minutes of February 8, 22, and March 1, 1967. There were none, <br />and on Motion by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner <br />Dritenbas and unanimously carried, the minutes were approved as <br />written. <br />Mr. Angelo Sanchez, and several other residents of 50th Avenue <br />and -Mr. Jerre J. Haffield appeared before the Board seeking information <br />as to when 50th Avenue would be paved, stating that when they had <br />given the County easements for a drainage ditch on the west side of <br />their property, they had been promised that the road would be paved. <br />After considerable discussion, Commissioner McCullers moved, seconded <br />by Commissioner Macdonald and unanimously carried, that the matter <br />be tabled until the County Attorney can make an investigation of the <br />records pertaining to this situation. <br />Mr. Sil Perrella, President of the Sunshine Rehabilitation Center <br />of Indian River County, Inc., and Mss. Vera Palma, therapist, were present <br />and asked to be enlightened on the proposed $4,000 award to the Pioneer <br />Occupational Center for the Handicapped in Port Salerno; and they invited <br />the members of the Board to inspect the facilities of the local Sunshine <br />Center - <br />J <br />BOON PAGE 4:0U, <br />MAR <br />MAR 8 1967 <br />
