II6sultants, 14 December 2005 Page 3 participating in on- site meetings (two) and teleconference calls regarding the project ; • preparing construction bid documents specifications ,ons , and drawings fcr the UST closure/AST installation, and coordinating with Indian River County Department of Health and Brevard County Department of Natural ',Resources Protection (responsible for County petroleum-related activities) ; • evaluating submitted subcontractor proposals ; and • selecting a subcontractor for performing the UST closure/ Source Removal/AST Installation activities . GeoSyntec prepared bid specifications (which were reviewed by IRCDUS ) , drawings , and a schedule of prices suitable for subcontractor bidding of the petroleum related work . GeoSyntec received price quotes from two subcontractors qualified to perform the scope of services related to the UST closure, source removal activities , and AST installation . The review of bids revealed a bid of $ 212 , 780 . 50 by PR&D and a bid of $ 159 , 386 by Florida Environmental Compliance Corporation (FECC) . GeoSyntec recommends FECC as the petroleum contractor based upon bid cost and source removal experience working as a subcontractor to GeoSyntec in Indian River County and at the Kennedy Space Center. Bid pricing information is included as Attachment A . A detailed breakdown of estimated project costs is included as Attachment B .
