WEDNESDAY, MAY 24, 1967 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, <br />met in regular session at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, Florida, on <br />.Wednesday, May 24, 1967, at.8:30 o'clock A. M. Present were Robert <br />W. Graves, Chairman; Donald Macdonald, Richard P. Bogosian, and Jack <br />U. Dritenbas. Absent was Vice -Chairman D. B. McCullers, Jr. Also <br />present were Sherman N. Smith, Jr., County Attorney; Jack G. Jennings <br />County Administrator, and Alfred H. Webber and Ruth Elliott, Deputy <br />Clerks: <br />Mr. Bertram J. Bellay and his attorney, L. B. Vocelle, were <br />present to petition and request the Board to abandon the plat of <br />Bell-Acyres, Unit 1, releasing the dedication of the easements as <br />well as the park, and stated that the street shown on the plat serves no <br />property other than Mr. Bellay's; that no conveyances have been made <br />other than Lots 23 and '24 to Mr. Bellay's son; the only home built is <br />that of Mr. •Bellay located on Lot 2. After discussion, it was moved <br />by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner Bogosian and un,- <br />animously carried, that the County tentatively approves the request of <br />Mr. Bertram J. Bellay for the abandonment of the subdivision known <br />as Unit 1, Bell-Aycres according to the plat filed in Plat Book 6, <br />page 59, subject to Mr. Bellay publishing a Notice of Public Hearing <br />as'required by law. <br />On Motion by Commissioner Dritenbas, seconded by Commissioner <br />Macdonald and unanimously carried, the Board tentatively approved <br />the approach and zoning plan for the Vero Beach Municipal Airport <br />as submitted by Floyd Boyer, Airport Director, and directed that <br />a public hearing be held.
