WIDENING OF 43RD AVENUE 0 U 6 <br /> OSLO ROAD TO 8t" STREET l <br /> WORK ORDER NO. 1 TO THE PROFESSIONAL CIVIL ENGINEERING SERVICES <br /> AGREEMENT BETWEEN ARCADIS G&M INC, AND INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA. <br /> This AGREEMENT, entered into this 12th day of September ?006, by and behveen <br /> INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, a political subdivision of the State of Florida, hereinafter referred to as the COUNTY, and <br /> ARCADIS G&M, INC., Vero Beach, Florida, hereinafter referred to as the ENGINEER, <br /> "SECTION I - PROJECT LIMITS AND DESCRIPTION" <br /> Consultant services are required for the preparation of road design plans; permit applications <br /> and utility relocation plans associated with the construction of the widening of 43 `d Avenue from Oslo <br /> Road to Glendale Boulevard . The improvements consist of the following: <br /> Expansion of 43rd Avenue from south of Oslo Road to Glendale Boulevard to a four lane divided <br /> roadway section within an 80 foot to 150 foot wide right of way. Improvements to the south <br /> approach of the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Oslo Road will be provider. The project will <br /> begin approximately 1000 feet south of Oslo Road The total length of the project is <br /> approximately 11, 640 linear feet or 2. 20 miles. <br /> The proposed typical section will be based on the constrained right of way optional typical <br /> sections currently being reviewed by Indian River County for 43rd Avenue. Where the existing <br /> right of way is wider than 80 feet, the typical section will transition to provide for additional <br /> median width and additional buffer between back of curb and sidewalk <br /> Landscape and lighting plans will be prepared for the project. The landscaping plans will detail <br /> median plantings and irrigation. It is anticipated that the lighting will be located within the <br /> median.Mast arm traffic signals will be designed at the following locations: <br /> • 43rd Avenue & Oslo Road <br /> • 43rd Avenue & 54h Street SW <br /> • 43rd Avenue & Is` Street SW <br /> • 43rd Avenue & 4hStreet <br /> • 43rd Avenue & 8`h Street <br /> ARCADIS will attend a public workshop meeting for the project. Display boards will be prepared <br /> for use during the public workshop. The display boards will consist of colored typical sections <br /> and a plan of the project superimposed on an aerial photo. <br /> The structural engineering plans for the bridges carrying 5`h Street SW over the IRFWCD lateral <br /> canal and 43rd Avenue over the South Relief Canal will be modified to match the proposed <br /> roadway plans. <br /> SECTION II - COUNTY OBLIGATIONS <br /> The COUNTY agrees to provide (in a timely manner) the following material , data, or services <br /> as required in connection with the work to be performed under this Agreement; all of which <br /> information the ENGINEER may use and reasonably rely upon: <br /> Page 1 of 16 <br /> F:\Public Works\Capital Projects\43rd Avenue- Oslo to 8th Street\43rd Avenue Arcadis Agrement 8-29-06.doc <br />
