M. .Present were Robert <br />WEDNESDAY, JUNE 21, 1967 <br />Board ''of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />W. <br />Graves, Chairman; D 'B. McCullers, Vice -Chairman; Donald Macdonald, <br />Richard Bogosian and Jack Dritenbas. Also present were County Engineer <br />Edwin S. Schmucker; County Attorney Sherman N. Smith, Jr.; and <br />Alfred H.:Webber and Ruth Elliott, Deputy.. Clerks. • <br />Mrs. Gladys Vigliano, County Welfare Worker, was present_in <br />regard to payment of a nursing home care bill which had been paid but <br />not authorized by her. This.patient,(Nelda Carmichael) had been <br />admitted by Sheriff Joyce with Judge Mank's approval. After discussion, <br />Commissioner McCullers moved, seconded by Commissioner Bogosian and <br />unanimously carried, that letters be sent to Sheriff Sam T. Joyce,' <br />Police Chief of the City of Vero Beach,. Wallace.Gossett, each nursing <br />home we do business with, and the Indian River Membrial Hospital, <br />.informing them that if any patient is taken there, without authorization <br />by the County Welfare Department, payment will not be made by the bounty. <br />The County Engineer submitted quotations for the installation <br />of a water cooler at the County Welfare Building. ,Miationibiashpademby�.a:::�,..�s� <br />Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Dritenbas and unanimously <br />carried; that the low quotation of MaxwellPlumbingCompany in the. amount <br />of $208.00 be accepted, and the unit installed. <br />Mr. Clarence Taylor appeared before theABoard and asked if <br />Citrus Road from Old .Dixie Highway to U.S. #1 Will -be placed on the <br />tentative County Road paving list for this year. Commissioner Dritenbas, <br />stating that because of the.future growth in this area and the fact that <br />there is no direct route to U.S.#1 at this point:as there is at 8th Street <br />and 12th Street, moved that Citrus Road .frozin Old Dixie Highway to UJ S.#1 <br />be left.on the tentative County Road Paving list as item #7. Motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Macdonald and unanimously carried.
