ARCHITECTURALIENGINEERING PROPOSAL <br /> INDIAN RIVER COUNTY DOC <br /> FIRE TRAINING FACILITY <br /> August 29, 2007 <br /> Page 2 <br /> D. Structural engineering services will be provided to design the Tower foundation and ground <br /> floor slab, along with the concrete apron around the Tower. The Owner shall provide CAD <br /> backgrounds of the Fire Training Tower delineating the slab geometry, tower anchor bolt <br /> locations and any other foundation related information. The Owner shall also provide the <br /> design reactions from the pre-engineered fire-training tower. <br /> E. Electrical engineering services scope is limited to the provision of power for the Fire Training <br /> Tower. Owner shall provide the Fire Training Tower power requirements and from where the <br /> power will be fed to the Tower. <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> This proposal is based upon the provision of the following Scope of Services : <br /> L SCHEMATIC DESIGN/DESIGN DEVELOPMENT PHASE <br /> The Architect shall assist the Owner in establishing the program and ascertain the requirements of the <br /> project and shall arrive at a mutual understanding of such requirements with the Owner. Based any <br /> adjustments authorized by the Owner in the program, schedule or construction budget, the <br /> Architect shall prepare, for approval by the Owner, Schematic Design/Design Development <br /> Documents consisting of drawings and other documents to fix and describe the size, character of <br /> the project, materials and such other elements as may be appropriate. <br /> H. CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS PHASE <br /> Based on the approved Schematic Design/Design Development Documents and any further <br /> adjustments in the scope or quality of the project or in the construction budget authorized by the <br /> Owner, the Architect shall prepare, for approval by the Owner, a permit set of Construction <br /> Documents consisting of drawings and outline specifications setting forth in detail the <br /> requirements for the Construction of the Project. <br /> III. BIDDING OR NEGOTIATION PHASE — NOT REQUIRED <br /> IV, CONSTRUCTION PHASE-ADMINISTRATION <br /> OF THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT <br /> The Architect' s responsibility to provide Basic Services for the Construction Phase under this <br /> Agreement commences with the award of the contract for construction and terminates at the <br /> issuance to the Owner of the final Certificate for Payment or 60 days after the date of Substantial <br /> Completion of the Work, whichever comes first. <br /> The Architect shall provide periodic Site Observations, Review of Contractor' s Applications for <br /> Payment, Contractors request for information and/or clarifications, Shop Drawing Reviews, <br /> Review of Change Order and decisions on any claims or disputes. <br /> D 0 N A D 1 0 <br />
