e <br />It was moved by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by <br />Commissioner Dritenbas and carried, that the Clerk be directed to <br />advise Mr. John W. Channell in reply to his letter of July 24 concerning <br />surfing at Wabasso Beach, that the County has no authority on the <br />subject of surfing on the public beaches. <br />On Motion by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner <br />Dritenbas and carried, Change Order No. Four, covering additional work <br />in the new area to be occupied by the Supervisor of Elections and in the <br />existing area occupied by the Supervisor, in the amount of $793.40, was <br />approved. <br />On Motion by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner <br />Dritenbas and carried, the request by Forrest McCullars, County Agent <br />for out -of -county travel, August 16-19 to Ocala, was approved. <br />The Sheriff filed with the Board a statement of his appointment <br />of Donald O. Owens as a Deputy Sheriff, whose voting precinct is No. 1B; <br />and his appointment of Evelyn L. Walters as a Deputy Sheriff, whose <br />voting precinct is No. 3A, and said Deputy Sheriffs filed his bond with <br />the Clerk of the Circuit Court, which were presented to the Board. <br />On Motion by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Dritenbas <br />and unanimously carried, the Bond of each said Deputy Sheriff was <br />approved and ordered filed with the Clerk of the Circuit Court'. <br />On Motion by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner <br />.Dritenbas, and unanimously .carried, the application of Joe S. Culpepper <br />for License to carry Firearm, was approved. <br />On Motion by Commissioner Diitenbas, seconded by Commissioner <br />McCullers, and unanimously carried, the Payroll for State Witnesses <br />Only, Circuit Court, dated 18th July, 1967, was approved. <br />A letter from Dr. Aris Lindsey on behalf of the Indian River <br />Riding Club requesting a suitable lease on some county property on which <br />the Club may hold their events was received.
