t <br />The County Administrator reported that City of Vero Beach Fire <br />Chief, Guy Sullivan advised him that the 1953 fire truck which was in <br />the name of Indian River County had been taken out of service because <br />of an unavailability of partsfbecause of its age was unsafe; and that <br />it had been delivered to the County Barn and was being used as a back- <br />up truck behind the ditch -burning rig. <br />On Motion by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner <br />Bogosian and unanimously carried, the Administrator was authorized <br />to renew the maintenance agreement for three typewriters in his office <br />at $37.98 each. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner <br />McCullers, and unanimously carried, that the request of Bain's Electronics, <br />per letter of September 5, to erect lines on County easements in Ixora <br />Park Subdivision for Educational Television Programs was approved. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Dritenbas, seconded by Commissioner <br />'Macdonald and unanimously carried, that the sealing and water -proofing <br />of all windows in the north end of the Courthouse Addition be authorized <br />with Netto Construction Company for $100.00. <br />At the request of the Administrator and discussion which included <br />the fact that the Citrus Elethentary School is located on 27th Avenue, <br />Commissioner Macdonald moved, seconded by Commissioner Bogosian and it <br />unanimously carried, that the present priority of acquiring right-of- <br />way for proposed construction during the coming year be: <br />No. 1 --Emerson Avenue (27th Avenue) <br />No. 2 -- Clemanns Avenue (43rd Avenue) <br />The annual report of the Indian River County Fire Control Unit, <br />of the Florida Board of Forestry for the period July 1, 1966 through, <br />June 30, 1967 was received. <br />Commissioner Dritenbas suggested to the Board that he thought <br />the County, in order to eliminate drainage problems, should make it <br />mandatory that a permit be obtained for putting in .a driveway culvert, <br />so that the County could establish the size of the pipe and the grade.. <br />In that way the County can be assured that the grade conforms to the <br />grade on the plat.
