I have spoken with Jonathan Dixon with Pittsburg Tank & Tower Company
concerning these cost. The costs that he quoted last year in preparation of the report for each option area still a
good estimate range .
The work required for raising the tank would include:
• Installing additional bracing in the pillar section of the tank
• Possible modifications to the foundation (structural analysis would have to be made)
Applying paint over coating
• Installing additional steel panels
Estimated Project Cost: $500,000 - $600 ,000
The work required for installing a new tank would include :
• Provide and install tank
• Constructing the required foundation
• Installing required piping to connect to the system
Estimated Project Cost: $ 1 ,000 ,000 at a minimum
Please let us know the decision of the Department on how to proceed . Feel free to contact me if you have any
questions .
Thanks ,
Steven Cockerham , P .
