A letter was received from the Trustees of the Internal Improvement <br />Fund of the State of Florida with regard to theiCounty's request that a <br />10 acre parcel in the Wabasso area be conveyed to the County for public <br />park purposes (Resolution 67-61) in which the Trustees request that <br />the County furnish a plan of development, and an estimate of the time <br />and funds it will take to develop the park. Members of the Board decided <br />to go, over the area to decide what forms of recreational facilities <br />will be best suited for the proposed park. <br />The Administrator reported that the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />has made it's tentative recommendation to this Board that the zoning <br />on property in SedtiOns-21,and 22, Fleming Grant, Township 30. South, <br />Range 38 East, (more fully described in P.&Z.Commission Minutes of October <br />10, 1967) be changed from R1 Single Family District to R2A MUlti-Family <br />District as requested by Mr. R. F. Lloyd on behalf of Mr. E. H. Auten. <br />Commissioner Macdonald moved that the recommendation be tentatively <br />approved and that a public hearing be held, Motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Bogosian and unanimously carried. <br />A Notice was received from the Department of the ]Army, Corps of <br />Engineers, of an application by the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Brevard County for the construction of an artificial reef in the Atlantic <br />Ocean offshore from Sebastian Inlet to be 3,000 feet wide and 6,000 feet <br />long and constructed of junked automobile bodies. 'On Motion by Commissioner <br />Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried <br />the Board endorsed and approved the application for the construction of <br />this reef. <br />The Board discussed the monthly maintenance proposal received from <br />Barker Electric Company on the window air -conditioner. units in the <br />old part of the Courthouse, and also the possibility ofLanCenttalized <br />unit for that area. The County Administrator was requested to check <br />into the matter for further recommendation to the Board. <br />OCT 1 8 1967 <br />BOO 10 f'ACE 487 <br />
