M. Present were Robert W. Graves, <br />Chairman; D., B. McCullers, Jr., Vice Chairman; Donald Macdonald, <br />Richard P. Bogosian and Jack U. Dritenbas. Also present were Jack G. <br />Jennings, County Administrator; Sherman N. Smith, Jr.,. County' Attorney; <br />and Alfred H. Webber and Janet Burriss, Deputy Clerks. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order and asked if there were <br />any corrections or additions to the minutes of October.4, October 18 <br />and October 30, 1967. There were none, and on Motion by. Commissioner' <br />Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner•Bogosian and unanimously carried, <br />the minutes were approved as written. <br />Civil Defense Director, Thomas H. Trent, appeared before the <br />Board and asked permission to purchase six doors to make into tables <br />for his class room, also requesting permission to buy the legs for <br />them. On Motion by. Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner. <br />Bogosian and unanimously carried the Civil Defense Director was ' <br />authorized to purchase the equipment necessary to operate his class <br />room. <br />Doctor A. C. Lindsey of the Indian River Riding Club,appeared <br />before the Board requesting that the Riding Club be given.. permission <br />to use ten acres of County owned land' East of the Mosquito Control <br />'for the purpose of building an arena for their activities. After <br />,considerable discussion, the Administrator was requested to go with <br />Doctor Lindsey to look the situation over and report back to the <br />Board. <br />A request from Peggy Truster, President of the Vero Beach Humane <br />Society, was received asking the Board to establish a charge for <br />rabies shots and to set a date 'for inoculation. This matter was <br />referred to the,County Attorney to prepare a resolution. <br />
