FL 32204 <br />904-388-8821 <br />904-388-8163 <br />Geosyntec Consultants (Geosyntec) is pleased to submit this proposal to the Indian River County <br />(IRC) Solid Waste Disposal District (SWDD) for the provision of engineering services related to <br />permitting of a borrow area at the IRC Landfill (IRCL) facility located in Vero Beach, Indian <br />River County, Florida. The proposal presents the scope of work, budget estimate, and schedule <br />for permitting the borrow area. The proposal was prepared in response to a verbal request from <br />Mr. Himanshu Mehta, P.E. of SWDD and subsequent meetings between SWDD and Geosyntec <br />at the IRCL site . Geosyntec has prepared this proposal as Attachment I under Work Order No. <br />09 for the Continuing Contract Agreement for Professional Services between IRC SWDD and <br />Geosyntec, dated 10 August 2004. <br />The remainder of this proposal presents: (i) project background; (ii) proposed scope of work; <br />(iii) budget estimate; and (iv) schedule. <br />PROJECT BACKGROUND <br />The IRCL facility is located in southern Indian River County, east of Interstate 95, south of Oslo <br />Road, and west of Rangeline Road in Vero Beach, Florida. The SWDD operates both the Class I <br />landfill and Construction and Demolition (C&D) disposal facility at the IRCL facility. The <br />overall IRCL site occupies 276 acres, with 63 acres used for Class 1 disposal and 22 acres used <br />for C&D disposal. Waste materials accepted for the Class I landfill disposal include residential, <br />commercial, agricultural, and industrial wastes.
