ATTACHMENT 1 to WORK ORDER NO. M1 <br /> CONSTRUCTION SUPPORT SERVICES AND PREPARATION OF A <br /> QUALITY ASSURANCE PROJECT PLAN FOR THE MAIN RELIEF CANAL <br /> POLLUTION CONTROL SYSTEM <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The COUNTY has requested that the CONSULTANT provide professional engineering <br /> services for the preparation of a Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) and assistance <br /> during construction for the COUNTY's Main Relief Canal Pollution Control System Project. <br /> The QAPP submittal is required by a Florida Department of Environmental Protection <br /> ( FDEP) 319 Grant Contract ( DEP Contract No . G0182 , dated April 11 , 2006) . The QAPP <br /> must be prepared in accordance with the 319 Grant. The following tasks provide the <br /> necessary cross-section of activities associated with the preparation of the QAPP and <br /> assistance during the construction period . <br /> Task No. 1 — KICKOFF MEETING - conduct kickoff meeting (telephone conference call ) <br /> with COUNTY to discuss and assemble (aerial photo, site plan , sampling locations , etc . ) <br /> pertinent information concerning the project as it relates to the required QAPP submittal <br /> and construction work. <br /> Task No. 2 — MEETING WITH FDEP & PREPARATION OF QAPP PROTOCOL — <br /> subsequent to the kickoff meeting with the COUNTY , the CONSULTANT will schedule and <br /> attend a meeting with FDEP staff to discuss the project and gain consensus regarding the <br /> content of the QAPP . The QAPP protocol will be prepared and submitted to FDEP for <br /> review and comment. The CONSULTANT shall provide a timely response to the FDEP's <br /> Request for Information ( RFI ) , if any, in order to finalize and obtain approval from FDEP for <br /> the QAPP protocol . CONSULTANT shall coordinate with the COUNTY's analytical <br /> laboratory, US Biosystems , Inc . , and COUNTY staff who will perform the monthly sampling <br /> activities , to include applicable information from both parties in the protocol . <br /> Task No. 3 — SHOP DRAWING REVIEW AND RESPONSE TO CONTRACTOR ' S <br /> REQUEST FOR INFORMATION SUBMITTALS — provide structural and electrical <br /> engineering services as necessary for shop drawing reviews and respond to contractor <br /> requests for information during the construction period . <br /> Task No. 4 — SITE VISITS DURING CONSTRUCTION AND ASSOCIATED MEMOS — <br /> conduct up to 12 site visits to the project construction site to observe and review project <br /> construction activities .
